That was Fur Elise- one of the most-noted compositions by Ludwig Van Beethoven, in fact, published posthumously.
This classic clip of music is known to evoke a mixed feel of known and the unknown in other worlds, Nostalgia.
There is something defaultly deep about this feeling. It can make a plunge so deep into the abyss of your mind while keeping you conscious still.
I can only best describe its effect as cupping hard your chest–metaphorically speaking– to not let go of this sense of consolation.
But what is it exactly that makes Nostalgia as good as an unasked warm embrace.
Perhaps it is the reassurance in looking back on a memory we have been through, and most assuredly done with for good or bad. Especially the satisfaction of overcoming the trials associated with the period of the said memory.
This should probably instill in us the idea that life is tangibly real and valuable when it is thoroughly partaken- blessings & adversities alike.
Further on reading this book by Dale Carnegie a man much too principled to be left alive in this age yet is purely a reference of principled thinking. I became convinced that a worry-free life should be the way adopted by all.
Considering that all the worry and anxiety arising in that moment is simply a filler for our reaction to the uncertainty in life. Not to blame our innocuous hearts, it is only human to resort to this perspective.
In such a case where we are unable to turn our back on the ill feelings consuming us– there is a silver lining– the depths of despair you are pushed into today is enlarging your nostalgia experience for the future.
So bank on that and sally forth. For stress or no stress, we must keep going till the end of time.
